GDPR & Privacy

This policy regulates and specifies our policy for collecting, using, storing, and disclosing information collected from Platinum Brands Website Data Subjects (each, a "Data Subject") ("Websites"). This applies to all Platinum Brands Ltd products and services, as well as the Website and manual subscriptions.

Personal identifiable information about Data Subjects may be gathered in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Data Subjects visit our Website, register on the Website, and in conjunction with other activities, services, features, or resources made available on our Website.

Data Subjects may, however, visit our Website anonymously.

We may collect non-personally identifiable information about Data Subjects when they interact with our Website. Non-personal identifiable information may include, among other things, the browser name, computer type, and technical information about Data Subjects' means of connection to our Website, such as the operating system and Internet service providers used.

We only collect personal identifiable data from Data Subjects if they offer it voluntarily and are fully aware of our objectives and how we intend to use it in accordance with GDPR. Data Subjects have the option to refuse to disclose personally identifiable information, but doing so may prevent them from participating in some Website-related activities, subscription offers, and promotions.

Platinum Brands Ltd gathers and processes personal information from Data Subjects legally based on consent and reasonable interest for subscriptions to our media.

We may respond to inquiries, or questions. We also reserve the right to send Data Subjects emails with corporate news, updates, related products and new subscriptions that they may be interested in, information about third-party services, and so on. If the User wishes to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email, or the User may contact us via our Website.

We may share an individual's information with third parties on occasion if they have actively opted to receive information by specifically giving us permission to share with them after we have informed them of who they will be based on the company name by which they identified themselves on the agreement with us. The main reason for this is to allow the specifically indicated third parties to provide you with information about goods and services that said third party feels you would be interested in. Such information may be disclosed through marketing messages or advertising tailored to your interests. Your information may also be used in the following ways. You may be assured that any third parties who contact you will only do so in accordance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and other applicable privacy regulations; a list of third parties who may contact you is available upon request.

When it comes to third-party processors,

We use appropriate data collection practices, storage and processing practices, and security measures in accordance with DPA 2018 to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Website. Any data provided is the sole property of PLATINUM BRANDS, and the processor will be granted for a limited period only.

Unless otherwise specified, PLATINUM BRANDS remains the data controller for information disclosed to third parties (data processors) stipulated by the name on our agreement throughout the term of the agreement, during which time we recommend you contact the audience no more than once a quarter, and upon expiry of the 6 month data licence, all processors must ensure to securely delete the shared data from their network save for data subjects th If you are granted joint controller status, our policy will govern all elements of subject access requests, with PLATINUM BRANDS communicating with the subject only for the purpose of obtaining their data. If your agreement is renewed, we will issue you a new licence allowing you to continue using the data we provided you for another period of time. From the time our agreement is confirmed/data is downloaded, processors of our data must respect PLATINUM BRANDS terms and conditions, which will take precedence over any other personal practises, internal or otherwise.

PLATINUM BRANDS warrants and promises to ensure the accuracy of the Shared Personal Data in line with GDPR processing regulations and the Data Protection Act of 2018.

The information will be used to send marketing communications relating to the magazine to which you contributed, and the fields included may vary based on the publication, but will normally include your name, email address, and title. We can keep fields for ourselves as controllers and not share them with processors. When data is received, information processors are immediately bound to PLATINUM BRANDS' data sharing policy and collection processes; by downloading the data, you commit to being able to use the data and ensuring that it is stored on a managed IT network with the required security level and protocols.

As controllers, we do frequent audits that include, when applicable, the suppression of files against MPS and TPS, the cleansing of any de-dupes, and the removal of any redundant entries prior to disclosure. Records may become redundant without our knowledge at times; if you feel this is the case, please tell PLATINUM BRANDS immediately and we will investigate the situation, replacing only when PLATINUM BRANDS agrees a record has become superfluous. Unsubscribes from their own mailings are not required to be reported to us because they are not the same as unsubscribing from the magazine. If a subject unsubscribes from your own mails, you must erase their record from your network immediately.

The Data Recipient warrants and agrees not to disclose or transfer Shared Personal Data to any third party, whether within or outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

The Data Recipient ensures that all applicable laws, enactments, rules, orders, standards, and other similar instruments that apply to its personal data processing operations will be followed.

The Data Recipient promises to process data breaches, complaints, and access requests in accordance with GDPR requirements, and to notify PLATINUM BRANDS within one business day (Monday through Friday) of receiving all data subject(s) information, so that PLATINUM BRANDS can reach an amicable resolution directly with the aforementioned subject(s), if necessary.

Upon receipt of a request or complaint from a data subject, processor, or the ICO, PLATINUM BRANDS will contact the data subject directly to confirm the nature of the issue, when and where consent was obtained, and to reach an amicable settlement, reporting the outcome to all relevant parties. In this instance, data processors will not be involved.

As data controller, PLATINUM BRANDS will notify all relevant parties of any changes to the shared dataset. Any modifications to the data recipient's own dataset are not needed to be reported to PLATINUM BRANDS.
